Last month NetWaiter announced that the most popular restaurants in a particular area would be identified on myNetWaiter.com as a “Local Fave,” indicating that the restaurant was one of the top 20% in their area. Restaurants that achieve this status are identified by a blue ribbon on myNetWaiter.com that says Local Fave.
NetWaiter has enhanced a restaurant’s ability to achieve Local Fave status by allowing them to add their own Favorite button to their website. The Favorite button gives customers one-click access to indicate a restaurant as a favorite.
Restaurants can access their individual Favorite button by claiming their NetWaiter site (for free). The code for the button is accessible in their NetWaiter Management Console. Restaurant owners can copy the code and paste it directly into their website.
The Local Fave algorithm takes into account a variety of criteria, including how many people have clicked the restaurant’s “+Favorite” button. The algorithm will continue to evolve, but it’s important to know the Local Fave designation is entirely objective and cannot be purchased.
The NetWaiter network started rolling out across the country in late summer, connecting customers with more than 265,000 independent and small-chain restaurants. Visitors use the NetWaiter Network to get updates from their favorite places, search for something new, and to find restaurants that deliver to them. By selecting their favorite restaurants, visitors automatically get access to updates and available promos from those locations.
Restaurants can claim their site and use NetWaiter’s marketing tools by visiting www.netwaiter.com/search.
